When he was growing up in Greensburg, Richard noticed that people flocked to his great-uncle Clarence’s hardware store because they knew him as fair, friendly, and true. Being inspired by his uncle is what helped mold Richard’s attitude toward business with the public. In desiring to establish great relationships with customers who would be appreciative of that down home, friendly and trusting place to come, he began his journey. Memories like these last a lifetime, and it is a lifetime of accomplishments that are awe inspiring in creating a legacy of success built on trust and wonderful lasting relationships! Whether it is a garden tiller or a pickup truck, it makes no difference. What is important to Richard and Feldman Auto Center is that building relationships is what it’s all about!

In 2006, having had a business already in the transportation field, Richard decided to start a Repair shop to service his fleet vehicles, and this would eventually lead to another level of service he would extend to the public as well. By the following year, this evolved into a third venture—a used car dealership—initially created to supply his fleet vehicles and soon expanded to offer quality used cars to the public. It has been a real growing process and nothing easy about it, but Richard always loved a good challenge! The thing that has been the most rewarding, is the wonderful people he’s met.

In relating to business and success over the years, Richard often mentioned one of his favorite quotes by the late Earl Nightingale; “If there were no such thing as honesty, it would be the single greatest thing to invent for success.” He’s used this quote often and many times to his employees as well as his customers in explaining that the only true business success would be realized through honesty. Truly Richard believes in the idea; why be in business if you don’t have true honesty and integrity in serving your fellow man! This is why Richard and his wife have worked extra hard these past several years to surround their business with the very best employees who share similar values of hard work, applied skill, teamwork and honesty above all.
